| Resumo | Brazil needs cheap faster and alternative methods that can be used in processes of extraction cartographic features whose resulted will be used in the update of cartographic bases. With this intention, the images of remote sensing have contributed of decisive form, together with techniques of Digital Processing Images (DPI). One of these techniques is the theory of the Mathematical Morphology. MM. The MM is based on the principle of the images geometric structure analysis. The image used contains features of interest the racecourse of Interlagos SP -Brazil area from IKONOS with 1 meter of spatial resolution. With the use of the Theory of Mathematical Morphology, this work has for main to detect the tracks of the racecourse from digital image through the application of morphologic operators. Many are the techniques available for this goal. In this paper we used Remote Sensing allied to Digital Image Processing (DPI). The used operators had improved the visual quality of the original image, contributing for the improvement of the process of detection of the main features. The manipulation of the images was carried through in the box of tools (Toolbox) of Mathematical Morphology (MM) developed by the SDC Information Systems, which works connected to software MATLAB. The results obtained were very interesting and comproved the potencial use of the MM in cartography to detect racecourse tracks. |
